Well, we completed our first semester … and I think we are off to a great start. Some of the sages may be adding posts over the next few weeks, but I am going to take a bit of a break over the next few weeks as I focus on grading exams and papers. I hope you all have a great break between semesters. Feel free to comment if you have a topic for discussion.
As of right now, our plan for January’s topic will be “Off to a great start,” how people begin the semester in applied statistics. We will use the month of February to talk about Diversity in Statistics, looking at articles on curriculum and diversity research that is in January’s issue of Perspectives in Psychological Science. We also have several journal articles to use as a basis for discussion during 2011.
Until then, may all of you find peace in your hearts, fond thoughts in your minds, and tasty food crossing your pallets during this time of rejuvenation!
